HAROLD ARNOLD BLOECHER
Mr. Harold Bloecher, of Pioneer Road in Mequon, formerly of Saukville and Port Washington, passed away at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee on Sunday evening, November 15, 2009. He was 78 years old. Harold was born in Saukville on June 10, 1931, son of Clarence and Erna Piepenburg Bloecher. Mr. Bloecher entered the United States Army after his schooling, serving in Korea. After his return, he was united in marriage with Gertrude “Trudi” Brunnquell on June 11, 1955 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington. Harold went to work for Quick Mix, which later became Trak International, in Port Washington. He retired as a purchasing manager in 1987. Harold belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington. He had been the church organist for 55 years, as well as being active in the men’s club and other church groups. Mr. Bloecher enjoyed traveling, gardening and volunteer work and was very well versed in stained glass artistry. Harold had also been involved with 4H at the county level, leading groups in forestry, photography and stained glass. The couple moved to Mequon in 2008. Harold is survived by his wife Trudi, their children Amy of Mequon and Karl of California, 4 grandchildren: Cartier and Ashley Bloecher of California, Katelyn Ortiz Bloecher of Massachusetts and Jacob Bloecher of Appleton, and 2 great-grandchildren in California. He is further survived by his brother- and sisters-in-law Paul (Elvira) Brunnquell of Saukville and Elizabeth Gersonde of Wauwatosa, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held for Harold at 2:30PM on Sunday, November 22nd at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 217 N. Freeman Dr., Port Washington. Rev. John Klieve will officiate. The family will receive visitors on Sunday at the CHURCH from 12:30-2:30PM. Memorials are suggested in Harold’s name to the St. John’s Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
